About Our Business |
The WORKLINX License Agreement This Licence Agreement provides assurances for both sides. The main issue from the company’s viewpoint is protection of our intellectual capital, protection of our markets, assurances of quality guidance, assistance and continuity for our customers and a level of certainty for licensees. The Licensees need assurances that WORKLINX will provide the back up they require to run and grow a successful business. Licensee Profile We anticipate licensees may not have a consultancy income at the moment. Rather, they may be semi-retired but looking for a way to ‘keep their hand in’ with business and provide a valuable contribution to a selected group of clients – many of whom they will know quite well. They will have a business management background and may have even owned a business - but this is not a requirement. The main criteria are for the person to be able to demonstrate they understand the value of sound business systems and maybe the pitfalls of not having them. They will certainly have an understanding of the value of intellectual capital – the knowledge base of the business. It would be a distinct advantage to have worked where good business systems existed. If the person has worked most of their career in a corporation, they would need to be able to demonstrate how they can/will relate to SME owners, because SMEs are our primary market. The exception may be corporate people who see opportunities to take WORKLINX to the next level – networks in corporations. (We have one network installed already.) We prefer people who can demonstrate they have a good network with local business owners. This may be demonstrated by belonging to appropriate clubs, Chamber of Commerce etc. We will also prefer people who show they are well read on business issues and have kept pace with technology. Ability to install software without problems will be an advantage, but this can be learned Licensee Interviews We ask Licensees to complete a short questionnaire and reply by email. The questionnaire is based on the above criteria. You can receive the questionnaire by completing the inquiry form on the Business Opportunities Page. Marketing and support documents will be available at scheduled interviews. The interview will be factual and nothing will be glamorised. Prospects will not be swayed by flashy images and statements that can’t be justified. We want quality Licensees and will conduct a quality interview. We will be very open about where the business is right now and we are taking it in the next 2 – 5 years. Above all though, it is important for prospective licensees to understand we are not looking for ‘power performers’. We are not in the rush business. We have fun in our business and we relax a little. Everyone needs to make money, but at our pace – with low stress. We will not be pushed to perform above our plan and we don’t expect our licensees to perform miracles. We must all have our comfort zone We prefer people who can demonstrate they have a good network with local business owners. This may be demonstrated by belonging to appropriate clubs, Chamber of Commerce etc. We will also prefer people who show they are well read on business issues and have kept pace with technology. Ability to install software without problems will be an advantage, but this can be learned. Back to the WORKLINX Business Opportunities Page |
